MID-FREQUENCY final workshop
The MID-FREQUENCY consortium is pleased to announce a limited number of Student Scholarships will be awarded for free participation to the final project workshop. This workshop will be organized in conjunction with the 25th edition of the international ISMA Noise and Vibration Engineering Conference - ISMA2012 and the 4th edition of the international Conference on Uncertainty in Structural Dynamics - USD2012, the scholarship includes free participation to both conferences. Both events will be held in Leuven (Belgium) from 17 until 19 September 2012 (http://www.isma-isaac.be)
At the final workshop all MID-FREQUENCY Fellows will present their research results together with other expert speakers in the field.
ISMA2012 is next year's edition of a sequence of biennial international conferences on noise and vibration engineering, structural dynamics and modal testing. The last edition, which was for the first time organized in conjunction with the conference on Uncertainty in Structural dynamics USD2010 in September 2010 was attended by more than 650 participants from academia and industry. The technical program was composed of 404 technical papers scheduled into 8 parallel tracks and 4 plenary poster sessions.
Student Scholarhips
The Student Scholarships provide free registration to the MID-FREQUENCY workshop and the connected ISMA and USD conferences. Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs are not covered.
To apply for a Student Scholarship, please send a short (10 lines) letter of motivation signed by both the student applicant and his/her supervisor, accompanied by a copy of the applicant student ID, by email to the ISMA conference secretary Mrs. L. Notré (lieve.notre@mech.kuleuven.be). Scholarships will be awarded based on the received motivation letter. Applications can be sent till February 29th, 2012. Notification on the acceptance will be sent out by March 15th, 2012.
Call for abstracts
Scholarship applicants are invited to submit an abstract for the ISMA2012 and/or USD2012 conference, this is however no requirement for the scholarship and will have no implication on the award procedure. Full CD-ROM conference proceedings will be published and will be submitted for reference in the ISI Web of Science.
